Kudos to budding writers!

It has been a quiet day so far and I have been enjoying myself thoroughly with the task assigned to me. With the Creative Writing Competition going on, I have the privilege of going through some of the entries and scoring them. I’m not much of a serious writer, although I do dream of authoring a literary masterpiece. The bundle that I got is a mixed bag and each entry has an excellent twist to it. Despite all that I say about today’s youth lacking creativity, I find myself applauding these rare literary geniuses. I have had one that made me laugh quite hard, and another one that tugged at my heartstrings and brought a tear to my eye. Not only do these kids have a vivid imagination, they have all done an excellent job in bringing their creativity alive into the minds of the readers. The tough part now is writing a comment/review that does these budding writers justice.

I’ll stop for now and get back to listening to some great music (thank God for Pandora!) and reading some very interesting short stories. Definitely a fun day!
